Basketball is an explosive and dynamic sport that requires agility in movements of motion that can consist of fast transitions from running to jogging to jumping. The ability to rapidly transition to evade opponents to take a jump shot, or grab a rebound are required skills to effectively play the sport.

Due to the physical demands that come with basketball essentially makes speed and agility training a crucial component within any basketball training program.
